Description

This Pumpkin Spice Syrup is a deliciously aromatic and versatile syrup made with a blend of warm spices and pumpkin purée. Perfect for adding a seasonal twist to your coffee, lattes, pancakes, or desserts, this homemade syrup is simple to prepare and adds a cozy, autumnal flavor to any dish or drink.

Ingredients

Scale

Ingredients

  • 200g golden caster sugar
  • 50g light brown soft sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp ground cloves
  • 2 tsp ground ginger
  • Grating of nutmeg (about 1/8 tsp)
  • 2 tbsp canned pumpkin purée
  • 125ml water

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: Place all the sugars, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, ground cloves, ground ginger, grated nutmeg, pumpkin purée, and water into a medium-sized pan.
  2. Cook the Syrup: Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring occasionally, for 5 to 10 minutes until the sugars have completely dissolved and the syrup is thin and smooth.
  3. Cool the Syrup: Remove the pan from heat and allow the syrup to cool to room temperature, which helps the flavors to meld together.
  4. Store Properly: Once cooled, transfer the syrup to a sterilized bottle or jar, seal tightly, and store in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.

Notes
