Description

This Greek Baked Feta recipe offers a delightful combination of creamy feta cheese, juicy cherry tomatoes, olives, and red onions roasted together in olive oil and fresh oregano. Perfect as a warm appetizer or snack, this easy-to-make dish features vibrant Mediterranean flavors and is best served with pita chips or sliced bread.

Ingredients

Scale

Cheese

  • 200 gram Feta Cheese

Vegetables and Herbs

  • 10 Cherry Tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup Red Onion, sliced
  • Fresh Oregano, to taste

Others

  • 2 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 6 Olives
  • Ground Black Pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius) to prepare for baking the feta and vegetables evenly.
  2. Prepare Ingredients: Place the 200 grams of feta cheese in the center of a large sheet of aluminum foil. Drizzle 2 tablespoons of olive oil over the cheese. Add 6 olives, 10 cherry tomatoes, and 1/4 cup of sliced red onion around the feta. Season with ground black pepper and fresh oregano to taste.
  3. Bake: Wrap the ingredients loosely in the foil or place the foil on a baking tray and bake for 8 to 10 minutes. Bake until the feta softens and the cherry tomatoes have burst, releasing their juices.
  4. Serve: Carefully remove from the oven and serve the warm baked feta mixture with pita chips or sliced bread for dipping and enjoying the flavorful juices.
  5. Enjoy: Savor this warm, Mediterranean-inspired dish immediately while the cheese is creamy and the vegetables are fresh and aromatic.

Notes

  • You can use Kalamata olives for an authentic Greek flavor.
  • For extra flavor, sprinkle some crushed red pepper flakes before baking if you like a bit of heat.
  • Serve immediately to enjoy the best texture and flavor of the baked cheese and vegetables.
  • Use a sturdy sheet of aluminum foil to avoid leaks and make cleanup easier.
