  • Author: Cleo
  • Total Time: 5 minutes
  • Yield: 1 large serving 1x
  • Diet: Vegetarian

Description

A refreshing and nutritious carrot and orange smoothie that blends the natural sweetness of fresh carrots and oranges with a hint of ginger and creamy oats. Perfect for a healthy breakfast or a revitalizing snack.

Ingredients

Scale

Produce

  • 2 medium carrots, peeled and roughly chopped or grated
  • 2 oranges, peeled
  • 2 cm piece of ginger, grated

Pantry

  • 2 tbsp oats

Other

  • 100g ice
  • 150ml water (optional, to adjust consistency)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the ingredients: Peel and roughly chop or grate the carrots depending on your blender’s capability. Peel the oranges and grate the fresh ginger.
  2. Add ingredients to the blender: Place the chopped carrots, peeled oranges, grated ginger, oats, and ice into the blender or smoothie maker.
  3. Blend: Blitz the ingredients until smooth. If the smoothie is too thick, gradually add up to 150ml of water to adjust the consistency to your liking.
  4. Serve: Pour into a glass and enjoy immediately for the best freshness and flavor.

Notes

  • You can soak the oats in a little water for 10 minutes beforehand to make the smoothie creamier.
  • Adjust the amount of ginger to taste for a milder or spicier flavor.
  • Use fresh or frozen ice cubes depending on your preference.
  • This smoothie is best consumed immediately but can be refrigerated for up to 24 hours.
