Description

These Burger Bowls with House Sauce and Ranch Fries offer a delicious, low-carb alternative to traditional burgers and fries. Juicy seasoned ground beef crumbles are paired with crispy ranch-seasoned waffle fries, fresh shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and pickles, all brought together with a creamy, tangy house sauce. Perfect for a flavorful and satisfying meal without the bun.

Ingredients

Scale

Burger Bowl Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef (85/15 for the juiciest)
  • 2 teaspoons burger seasoning (split as 1 teaspoon per side)
  • Shredded lettuce, as desired
  • Diced tomatoes, as desired
  • Diced burger pickles, as desired

Ranch Fries Ingredients

  • 1 22-ounce bag frozen waffle fries
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 1-ounce packet ranch seasoning mix (or 3 tablespoons homemade ranch seasoning)

House Sauce Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon horseradish
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 clove garlic, grated

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Ranch Fries: Bake the frozen waffle fries according to the package directions. Once baked, add 3 tablespoons of butter directly onto the baking sheet and toss the fries to coat them evenly, making them juicy. Sprinkle the ranch seasoning mix over the fries, tossing again to ensure all fries are coated. Adjust the seasoning amount to your preference.
  2. Make the House Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, ketchup, horseradish, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, and grated garlic until smooth. Taste and season with salt as desired. You can substitute this with store-bought burger sauce if preferred.
  3. Cook the Ground Beef: Heat a well-seasoned cast iron skillet over high heat without adding any oil. The pan should be very hot to achieve a good sear. Season one side of the ground beef with 1 teaspoon of the burger seasoning. Place the beef seasoning-side down into the hot skillet directly from the package, without breaking it up yet. Let it cook undisturbed for several minutes until a nice browned crust forms and fat starts to render.
  4. Finish Cooking the Beef: Sprinkle the exposed side of the beef with the remaining 1 teaspoon of burger seasoning. After a few minutes, flip the beef over and break it into fork-sized crumbles, avoiding making them too small to keep the meat juicy. Continue cooking until the beef is well browned. Remove from heat.
  5. Assemble the Burger Bowls: In serving bowls, arrange a base of shredded lettuce, then add the juicy burger crumbles on top. Add diced tomatoes and burger pickles as desired. Serve alongside the ranch fries and drizzle the house sauce over the meat and toppings. Enjoy immediately for the best taste.

Notes

  • Use a well-seasoned cast iron pan to get the best sear on the beef without sticking.
  • You can adjust the amount of ranch seasoning on the fries to suit your taste preference.
  • If you prefer, the house sauce can be substituted with any favorite burger or ranch sauce.
  • This recipe is easily customizable by adding other burger toppings like cheese or onions according to your preference.
  • For a healthier option, bake the fries on a rack to allow excess oil to drip off.
