Description
Deliciously roasted air fryer carrots seasoned with garlic, smoked paprika, and parmesan cheese, delivering a flavorful and healthy side dish with a tender yet slightly crisp texture.
Ingredients
Scale
Carrots
- 1 pound carrots (washed and peeled)
Seasoning
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt (or more to taste)
Toppings
- ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon parsley (for garnish or other fresh herbs)
Instructions
- Prep Carrots: Peel and trim the carrots. For an even cook, cut larger carrots in half so they are similar in size to the smaller ones.
- Season: Place carrots on a medium rimmed baking sheet. Drizzle evenly with olive oil, then sprinkle garlic powder, smoked paprika, and kosher salt over them. Rub the seasoning into the carrots to coat thoroughly.
- Air Fry: Transfer the carrots to the air fryer basket. Cook at 400℉ for 9-12 minutes, shaking or tossing halfway through the cooking time. Smaller carrots take about 9 minutes; larger carrots need closer to 12 minutes.
- Serve: Once cooked, place the carrots on a serving platter. Sprinkle with grated parmesan cheese and garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
- Adjust salt levels according to taste preferences.
- For a vegan option, omit parmesan or substitute with a plant-based cheese.
- You can substitute parsley with other fresh herbs like cilantro or chives.
- Ensure carrots are cut into similar sizes for even cooking.
- Olive oil helps achieve a crispy texture in the air fryer.
